- B.S., Westmont College
- Ph.D., Princeton University
- Postdoctoral Fellowship, National Center for Atmospheric Research
Her research focuses on urban air pollution and the environmental and health impacts of nuclear testing in Kazakhstan. She explores chemical composition of particulate matter, radiation risk perception, and environmental policy implications through interdisciplinary approaches combining chemistry and social science.
Recent publications span atmospheric chemistry, environmental policy analysis, and educational innovation. Key themes include secondary aerosol formation mechanisms, radiation legacy governance, and integrated science curriculum development. Articles demonstrate expertise in analytical methodology, environmental risk assessment, and geospatial pollution mapping.
Scientific Recognition:
- Jefferson Science Fellow, US State Department
Her work bridges experimental chemistry with community health studies and policy research, while maintaining active teaching roles in Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and General Chemistry courses.
