Kathleen Creasy

Kathleen Creasy is a part-time Assistant Professor of Music & Music Education at the School of Music, Kennesaw State University. A native of Ohio, she has dedicated her career to choral conducting, elementary music education, and aesthetic education frameworks.

• PhD student and instructor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1990-1993)
• Full-time faculty at Kennesaw State (1993-1998), directing choral ensembles and teaching music education courses
• Lead facilitator for Discipline-Based Music Education (DBME) institutes in Georgia

Her research focuses on aesthetic responsiveness through the Lincoln Center Institute's programs, blending Orff and Kodaly methodologies with curriculum development. She continues part-time teaching and church choir direction while writing novels pseudonymously for Grand Central Publishing.
