Kathleen Ann Kelliher Ward

Kathleen Ann Kelliher Ward is a Clinical Professor and Audiology Service Coordinator at the Loyola Clinical Centers, Loyola University Maryland. She holds a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Towson University, 1986), an MS in Audiology (Towson University, 1988), and an AuD from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (2015). Her expertise includes audiological assessment, auditory processing disorder intervention, hearing aid management, aural rehabilitation, and inter-professional clinical practice. She actively supervises clinicians and leads outreach initiatives for underserved populations, including seniors and children in urban areas.

Recent achievements include co-authoring a 2019 ASHA presentation on affordable hearing interventions for low-income seniors and contributing to a Cigna-funded grant exploring hearing health determinants. Her work has been cited in The ASHA Leader (2020) and The Hearing Journal (2020). She is pursuing a pending ASHA publication on accessible hearing care for urban seniors.

Dr. Ward teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and mentors students in community-based audiology projects. She moderates Loyola’s National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and American Sign Language (ASL) clubs. Her clinical work emphasizes interprofessional collaboration and innovative service delivery models.
