Kathleen Adee serves as a Professor in the School of Nursing at Salem State University, teaching core courses including Health Assessment (NUR 210B), Public and Population Health Nursing (NUR 415B), and Nursing Research (NUR 602H). Her office is located in the Harrington Building, and she maintains an active role in university governance.
Her academic credentials feature a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with nursing education concentration from Regis College (2014), a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Nurse Practitioner from Simmons College (1986) where she received the P.W. Tripp Award, and a cum laude Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Boston College (1980).
Research priorities center on Nursing Education in the 21st century, Care of Vulnerable Populations, and systemic challenges including Health Disparities and Health Literacy. Her work emphasizes practical measurement of Health Outcomes to improve community nursing efficacy.
