Katherine P. Cabral

Katherine P. Cabral is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS). She serves as the Program Director for the PGY2 Residency in Cardiology Pharmacy and practices at Capital Cardiology Associates. Her academic roles include teaching courses such as the Cardiovascular module, Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience in Cardiology, and the Integrated Problem Solving (IPS) Workshop. Dr. Cabral's education includes a PharmD from Northeastern University’s Bouve College of Health Sciences, followed by PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies in Pharmacy Practice and Cardiology at Boston Medical Center.

Her research focuses on antithrombotic therapies, heart failure management, and the role of clinical pharmacists in ambulatory cardiology care. Notable topics include acute coronary syndrome pharmacotherapy, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, and the efficacy of novel anticoagulants.
