Dr Katherine Lunn-Rockliffe is a Lecturer in French at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Medieval & Modern Languages. Her research focuses on 19th-century French poetry, particularly the works of Tristan Corbière and Victor Hugo. She teaches French literature, including courses on Romanticism, 19th-century poetry, and the intersection of literature with visual arts. She co-directs the journal Cahiers Tristan Corbière and is a member of the Groupe Hugo at Université Paris Diderot. Her teaching spans undergraduate and graduate levels, supervising research on topics from Romanticism to Decadence. Her scholarship explores themes like poetic irony, Hugo's cosmic imagery, and the integration of ideas into verse.
