Katherine Johnson

Dr. Katherine Johnson is a Clinical Professor and Medical Director of Utilization Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health System of Texas. She joined the faculty as a pediatric hospitalist after completing her pediatric residency at UTSW/Children’s Medical Center Dallas in 2013. Since 2018, she holds Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Research & Leadership: Dr. Johnson specializes in family-centered care and clinical education innovation. She chairs the Utilization Management Committee and leads the Physician Advisor Program, bridging clinical practice with administrative and payer stakeholders to optimize healthcare value. Her mentorship roles include membership in the Clinical Competency Committee overseeing resident training.
