Katherine Haggar

Katherine Haggar is a Research Fellow at Florida Atlantic University's Department of Sociology, where she contributes to research projects and academic initiatives. She holds a PhD in Comparative Studies from Florida Atlantic University, awarded in Spring 2024.

Her research focuses on the continuity of child maltreatment within families, advocating for deeper exploration of intergenerational trauma and reform in national child welfare policies. As the study director for the Network Analysis of Family Caregiving for People Living with Dementia study, she conducts interviews with informal caregivers to map their social networks, aiming to shape future caregiving policies and community interventions.
