Katherine Davies

Katherine Davies is Associate Professor of Philosophy and incoming Director of Philosophy at the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology, University of Texas at Dallas. Her research focuses on continental philosophy, feminist theory, political philosophy, and philosophy of art.

Educational background includes:

• PhD in Philosophy from Emory University (2017)
• MA in Philosophy from Emory University (2015)
• BA in Philosophy, German Studies, and Music from Whitman College (2010)

Her publications examine philosophical pedagogy, feminist interpretations of classical texts, and spatial politics. Current book project investigates the family policing system through feminist philosophy. Awards include National Humanities Center Fellowship (2023) and Philosophy in Media Fellowship (2024).
