Katherine Bromley is a Research Associate in the Center on Human Development at the University of Oregon’s College of Education. Her work focuses on improving education and employment outcomes for adolescents and young adults with disabilities through applied interventions and systems-level change. She holds a Ph.D. in Special Education (2019), an M.A. in Special Education (2011), and a B.A. in International Relations (2008), all from the University of Oregon.

Her research explores social capital’s influence on education, employment, and health outcomes for individuals with disabilities, emphasizing community-based work experiences and transition planning. Dr. Bromley collaborates on federally funded projects aimed at systemic reforms to support disabled youth. Her work bridges academic and applied contexts, with a focus on intersectional challenges faced by young women and justice-involved individuals with disabilities.
