Katharina Romoth

Dr. Katharina Romoth is affiliated with the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research in Rostock, Germany. She is a member of the Working Group on Benthic Organism Ecology (AG Ökologie benthischer Organismen), focusing on taxonomy and ecology of macrophyte benthos in the Baltic Sea. Her expertise includes quantitative epibenthos sampling, statistical analysis, and ecological assessments under EU directives such as the Water Framework Directive (WFD), Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive (FFH), and Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD).
