Katharina Al-Shamery

Prof. Dr. Katharina Al-Shamery serves as Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry within the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany. Her research group focuses on molecular interfaces and nanoscale phenomena.

Her research interests span Physical Chemistry with emphasis on surface science, electrochemical interfaces, and molecular self-assembly. Key areas include nanomaterial characterization, charge transfer at interfaces, and development of molecular electronics components. Her work bridges fundamental surface science with applications in energy conversion and nanotechnology.
