Kate Wilson is a faculty member at American University within the Writing Studies Program, holding the academic rank of Professor. Her research and teaching focus on medieval literature, classical rhetoric, and composition theory, alongside contemporary food studies in the United States.

At American University, she teaches courses such as WRT-101 College Writing Seminar and CORE-102 Encounter AU, emphasizing intensive writing instruction and interdisciplinary inquiry.
In her spare time, Dr. Wilson plays the viola in the Annandale Strings, attends Nationals games, rides horses, and enjoys classical music, mystery novels, and cooking.
