Kate Weyman is a Clinical Instructor in Nursing at the Yale School of Nursing and a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatric Endocrinology at Yale School of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Vermont and her Master’s in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical focus is on pediatric and emerging adult patients with diabetes, emphasizing education and transition care.
She developed the Yale Bridge Transition Program to support young adults transitioning from pediatric to adult diabetes care. Her research interests include automated insulin delivery technology and behavioral interventions in adolescents with Type 1 diabetes. Weyman has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and serves as a sub-investigator in clinical trials involving diabetes technologies and preventive measures for Type 1 diabetes.
