Her research focuses on protein phosphatase regulatory subunits' role in cardiac remodelling and heart failure, using in vivo mouse models, molecular biology, and omic technologies. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Melbourne (2012) and has received prestigious fellowships including the Heart Foundation Overseas Research Fellowship and Baker Institute Emerging Leader Fellowship. Her work addresses translational therapies for heart failure and contributes to UN SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
Research interests include molecular cardiology, protein phosphatase signaling, and diabetic cardiomyopathy. Recent work examines maternal diet's impact on offspring cardiovascular outcomes and estrogen receptor deficiencies in cardiomyocytes. Awards include grants from Diabetes Australia and The Shine On Foundation.
