Kate Votaw is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Undergraduate Research Coordinator at the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) Pierre Laclede Honors College. She earned her B.A. in Psychological Sciences from UMSL in 2009 and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Saint Louis University in 2016. Her primary role involves teaching liberal arts courses, including General Psychology, Psychology in Pop Culture, and The Science of Psychology, while also advising Honors students across disciplines such as psychology, anthropology, music education, and undeclared majors.
In her role as Undergraduate Research Coordinator, she promotes and connects undergraduate research projects with faculty mentors, organizing the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in April. Her research interests focus on social psychology, research methodology, and enhancing undergraduate education through innovative teaching practices.
Her scholarly contributions include a book and an article titled *General Psychology for Honors Students*, both published in 2020. These works emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to psychology education and research.
