Dr. Kate McMillan is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Media, and Creative Industries at King’s College London. Her work bridges artistic practice and academic research, focusing on postcolonialism, gender inequality in the art world, and the legacies of colonialism. She holds a PhD in Contemporary Art from Curtin University (2015) and has been a prominent figure in advocating for gender equity in the arts through annual reports like Representation of Female Artists in Britain.
