Kate Burgess is a Lecturer in Midwifery at Bournemouth University. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery Sciences from King’s College London (2015), a PGCE in Professional Midwifery Advocate from the University of West London (2020), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Practice Education from Bournemouth University (2024). Her research focuses on leadership, teamwork, and personalized care in maternity settings, particularly for high-risk cases. She pioneered the 'Time for Tea' initiative to improve team dynamics in healthcare trusts.
