Kate Borsig

Dr. Kate Borsig is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Writing Coach in the Ed.D. Program at Southern Arkansas University, part of the Graduate Studies school. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Mississippi State University, alongside bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education from Mississippi University for Women. Her career spans classroom teaching, high school and university administration, including roles as Director of Outreach and Innovation at Mississippi University for Women, overseeing departments like the Center for Creative Learning.

Her research focuses on emotional intelligence, leadership, and teacher professional development. She has authored two textbook chapters, published in educational journals, and contributed as an editor/reviewer for national publications. Dr. Borsig has delivered four presentations for the U.S. Department of Education and is a frequent speaker at state/national conferences.

With over $25 million in grant funding secured through 100+ proposals, she has led federal, state, and foundation-funded initiatives. Her administrative experience includes managing the Professional Learning Academy and Mississippi Governor’s School, demonstrating her commitment to educational innovation and outreach.
