Katarína Slobodová Nováková

Katarína Slobodová Nováková, PhD, serves as Professor of Ethnology at the Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Trnava campus), following her formal appointment on April 29, 2021. Her academic home is the Department of Ethnology and Non-European Studies, where she contributes to teaching and research in Central European ethnological frameworks.

Her scholarly focus centers on ethnology and cultural anthropology, with specialized attention to non-European cultures and social anthropology. The appointment procedure validating her professorship involved rigorous evaluation by an international commission chaired by Prof. Josef Kandert (Comenius University Prague), including scholars from Poland (Prof. Zygmunt Klodnicki), Czech Republic (Prof. Pavol Tišliar), and Slovakia (Dr. Peter Salner), with opponents Prof. Rastislava Stoličná (SAS Bratislava), Prof. Alexandra Bitušíková (Matej Bel University), and Doc.
