Katalin Varga is a Professor at the Institute of Psychology, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), leading the Department of Affective Psychology and the Human Interaction Research Group. She holds a Doctor of Science (DSc) and serves as Chair of the Student Disciplinary Committee and Alternate Member of the Ethics Committee.
- Research Focus: Clinical hypnosis, oxytocin in childbirth/breastfeeding, maternal mental health, and psychological interventions in critical care.
- Key Themes: Stress management, communication in healthcare, and intergenerational health impacts.
Recent Publications include studies on breastfeeding outcomes, hypnosis mechanisms, and obstetric interventions. Her work explores electrodermal responses, hormonal changes during hypnosis, and art-based therapeutic methods.
