Kat Albrecht is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology within the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. She holds a PhD in Sociology and a JD from Northwestern University.

She contributes to interdisciplinary discourse through methodological innovation.
Dr. Albrecht actively disseminates her work in prestigious venues such as Nature Human Behavior, Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, Northwestern University Law Review, and Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis. She has organized multiple Summer Institutes in Computational Social Science (SICSS) in Chicago, Atlanta, and South Florida, fostering academic collaboration in her field.
