Karry Elson serves as an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the Center for Cybersecurity, Anderson University, a role he began in 2022 after transitioning from a 30+ year career in security and technology management. He has extensive experience leading global security teams for Fortune 100 companies and brings real-world corporate insights into the classroom.

Professor Elson's research and teaching focus on Cybersecurity, particularly IT Strategy, Policy Development and Administration, and Regulatory Compliance (including GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, Schrems II, and CCPA). He advocates for the breadth of cybersecurity careers, noting they extend into governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) fields where technical knowledge supports non-technical roles. His pedagogy integrates Christian faith as a foundational element for professional and personal success.
As a dedicated educator, Professor Elson co-founded Anderson University's Faculty/Athletics mentor program and emphasizes practical application of academic concepts in business contexts. He is actively involved in the Center for Cybersecurity, contributing to its mission of preparing students for diverse cybersecurity careers.
