Karol Jasiński

Karol Jasiński is a Professor at the Faculty of Theology, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, affiliated with the Department of Philosophy and Canon Law. Holding a PhD and the title of Professor (prof. UWM), he is an established scholar in theological sciences with research interests spanning religiology, theology of religion, philosophy of religion, and phenomenology of religion.

His research agenda explores the intersection of religion, transcendence, and modernity, with a particular focus on the thought of Czech theologian Tomáš Halík. His recent publications delve into themes such as anatheism, idolatry, spirituality in the digital age, and the salvific function of religion, reflecting a deep engagement with contemporary challenges to faith and religious experience.

Professor Jasiński is open to supervising doctoral candidates in theological and philosophical disciplines and has confirmed the availability of institutional resources and funding to support such research. Despite not yet having supervised any doctoral students, he explicitly welcomes both Polish and foreign candidates.
