Karlo Vujeva

Karlo Vujeva, PhD, is a researcher at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb. He holds a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Zagreb (2024) and a Master's in Economic Development and Growth from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2018). His academic career includes roles as a research and teaching assistant since 2018, student assistant positions, and an internship at the Croatian National Bank (HNB).

Research Interests: Monetary policy, international financial management, investment banking, and macroeconomic responses to financial crises. His work explores TARGET2 imbalances, money creation dynamics, and central bank strategies within the Eurosystem and closed economies.

Recent Publications analyze European monetary integration, financial globalization, crisis management in small open economies, and the interplay between monetary theory and practice. He contributes to journals like Zbornik Ekonomskog fakulteta u Zagrebu and EFZG Working Paper Series.

Teaching: Co-conducts seminar classes in 'Monetary Policy' and 'International Financial Management' at the University of Zagreb.
