Karla Basurto-Gutierrez serves as Professor in the Department of Research and Statistical Methodology at Andrews University's School of Graduate Psychology & Counseling. Her interdisciplinary work bridges psychological methodologies with business, finance, and theological applications within the university's Seventh-day Adventist context.
Her research focuses on spiritual health measurement validation, accounting processes in non-profit organizations, and financial literacy among religious corporate managers. Recent studies include psychometric analysis of spiritual health scales, financial information quality in non-profits, and Adventist managerial performance in Cuba, reflecting a unique integration of psychological rigor with practical business and religious contexts.
