Karl Vorländer

Karl Vorländer is a Researcher at the Institute for Particle Technology, part of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Braunschweig. He has been affiliated with the university since 2013, focusing on pharmaceutical technology and bioprocessing.

• Education: Biotechnology degree (2013–2016) at TU Braunschweig; Master’s and Bachelor’s theses centered on microbial preservation and process engineering.

His research explores the mechanical impacts on microbial viability during pharmaceutical manufacturing processes like fluidized bed granulation, spray drying, and tableting. This work bridges biotechnology with particle technology to optimize probiotic tablet production.
