Karina Trindade Ribeiro

Karina Trindade Ribeiro serves as a Researcher at the Technological Research Institute (IIT) of Comillas Pontifical University within the School of Engineering (ICAI), having joined the institution on July 1, 2025. Her position is categorized under RF4.P4.02 research fellowship level.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Valencia and a Master's degree in Optics and Photonics (specializing in Solar Energy) from the Erasmus Mundus Europhotonics program, completed primarily at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) with a semester at Aix-Marseille Université (France).

Her research concentrates on medium- and long-term energy market modeling and planning, energy forecasting, risk analysis, and regulatory frameworks. She applies physical modeling and data analysis techniques to complex energy systems, with expertise spanning MATLAB, Python, GAMS, and VBA for optimization and simulation tasks.
