Karin Waidley is a Lecturer and Resident Dramaturg at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD). She currently serves as dramaturg for SMTD's production season and is incoming editor of Theatre/Practice journal. Previously, she held a full professorship at Western Colorado University, specializing in devising new theatre works and theatre for social justice and violence prevention. She has been a Fulbright Scholar and Specialist to Kenya, focusing on East African theatre history through a collaborative anthology. Her work integrates trauma-informed practices with neurobiology and creative expression.
