Kari Shaw is an Instructor of Dance at Oklahoma City University, affiliated with the Dance & Entertainment School and the Dance Department. With over two decades of teaching experience, she has specialized in tap, jazz, choreography theory, and performance instruction. She directed the annual Student Choreography Show for multiple years and has contributed choreography to The American Spirit Dance Company's domestic and international tours, as well as Oklahoma Opera & Music Theater Company productions. Additionally, she has choreographed for Lyric Theatre’s Jesus Christ Superstar via Camp Superstar.
Shaw holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. Her performance credits include roles in Lyric Theatre’s West Side Story, On Your Toes, and Hello Dolly!. She has further trained at prestigious institutions like the Edge Performing Arts Center and Joe Tremaine Dance Studio in Los Angeles.
