Dr. Karey Perkins is an Assistant Professor of English at South Carolina State University (SCSU), with a dual background in English and Philosophy. She holds a Ph.D. in English (2011, Georgia State University), M.A. in Philosophy (2014, Georgia State University), M.A.T. in English (1985, UNC-Chapel Hill), and B.A. in English and Religion (1981, Wake Forest University). Her research focuses on the intersection of literature and philosophy, specializing in Walker Percy, southern literature, existentialism, and semiotics.
