Karen Nielsen

Dr. Karen Nielsen is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Georgia State University's School of Public Health. She holds a Ph.D. (2017) and M.S. (2014) from the University of Michigan and a B.A. (2011) from the University of Oklahoma.

Her research focuses on developing and applying statistical techniques for modern data challenges, including multilevel modeling and analysis of high-frequency physiological sensor data. She collaborates across disciplines such as psychology, gerontology, and public health.
