Karen L. Blair is Associate Professor of Psychology at Trent University, where she directs the Social Relations, Attitudes, and Diversity Lab. Her research examines LGBTQ+ relationships, prejudice reduction, and the impacts of social attitudes on relationship functioning. She received Trent's Early Career Researcher Award (2022) and previously held the Jules Léger Research Chair at St. Francis Xavier University.
Research funded by SSHRC, CIHR, and PHAC examines how social contexts affect relationship quality and mental health in marginalized populations. She serves as President of LGBTQ Psychology Canada and Chair of the Canadian Psychological Association's Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity Issues section.
