Dr. Karen Fildes is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Wollongong’s School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences (2021–present). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences from the University of Wollongong. Her research interests span ecotoxicology, health systems optimization, and medical education innovation, with a focus on Indigenous curriculum reconciliation and community-oriented disaster recovery.
