Dr. Karen Calendo is an Assistant Professor of Health Care Management and Program Leader in the College of Business at Concordia University Chicago, where she teaches core courses for the Accelerated Degree Programs (ADP) in Health Care Management and organizational management. She joined the university in 2018, bringing 15 years of experience in community-based mental health program administration. Previously, she served as Associate Director and Associate Instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she founded the Entrepreneurship Veterans Readiness and Support program.

Grants & Programs: She has authored and implemented foundational grants/programs for veteran entrepreneurship support, including the 2016 Pilot and 2017 Expansion initiatives at UW-Milwaukee. She also presented research on injury prevention at the 2009 ThinkFirst National Conference.
