Karen Arcangelo

Karen Arcangelo is a Professor of Education, Program Director of Middle and Secondary Education, and Faculty Coordinator of Adult and Online Learning at Keystone College. She holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Syracuse University, an M.S. in School Psychology from Syracuse University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Her professional certifications include being a Certified School Psychologist.

Her research and professional contributions focus on early childhood education, special education processes, family partnerships, and transitions in educational settings. She has presented widely on topics such as self-regulation skills in young children, effective family conferences, autism spectrum disorders in early childcare, and best practices in e-learning.

Dr. Arcangelo has authored peer-reviewed articles on adult learning disabilities and assessment tools, and her recent work emphasizes practical strategies for educators, including accreditation reviews and social-emotional development support. She teaches courses such as Introductory Psychology, Child Development, and Special Education Processes and Procedures.

Her professional activities include collaborations on dual certification programs in special education and early childhood education, as well as workshops on early childhood professional portfolios and developmental assessments. She actively engages in interdisciplinary initiatives to bridge gaps between preschool programs and school districts, focusing on inclusive education and transition planning.
