معرفی
Dr Karen Alt is a Senior Lecturer at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University. She leads the NanoTheranostics Laboratory and specializes in antibody engineering, molecular imaging, and theranostic agent development. Her research focuses on fibrosis detection and imaging techniques for disease progression analysis. Dr Alt has contributed to over 51 publications and holds grants from the Australian Research Council and National Heart Foundation.
Education: PhD in Biology (Anti-PSMA Antibody and Fragments for Prostate Cancer Diagnostic and Therapy) from Monash University (2011).
Research Interests: Molecular imaging of fibrosis, theranostics, and antibody-based diagnostic tools. Her work integrates bacterial transpeptidase sortase and click chemistry for imaging and drug delivery.
Key Projects: Includes the ARC Training Centre for Advanced Radiochemical Technologies (2024–2029) and Translational Kidney Fibrosis Imaging in Diabetes (2024–2025).
Awards: ACBD Best Paper Award (2022), MBI Competition 2nd Place (2015), and multiple grant recognitions.
Grants/Activities: Collaborates on projects like molecular imaging of cardiac fibrosis and high oxygen water in TBI studies. Active in peer review for NHMRC and journals like PLoS One and Molecular Pharmaceutics.
Labs/Teams: Head of NanoTheranostics Lab; collaborates across disciplines in imaging and drug delivery systems.
