Karalina Orsik

Karalina Orsik serves as a Lecturer at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she has taught since 2014 while pursuing doctoral studies under Prof. Piotr Reichert. She maintains an active performance career as a violist.

Her educational trajectory includes:

• Primary School of Music in Minsk (violin studies from age 9)
• High School at the Academy of Music in Minsk (2003-2007) under Larisa Watamaniuk
• Arthur Rubinstein State Music School in Bydgoszcz (graduated with distinction in 2007) under Vadim Brodsky
• Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (2008-2013) for viola studies with Prof. Lech Bałaban and Prof. Piotr Reichert

Orsik's artistic focus centers on string performance and chamber music, with specialized expertise in violin and viola interpretation. Her work emphasizes historical performance practices within classical string repertoire, particularly through intensive collaboration in quartet formations. Mastery of ensemble dynamics and stylistic authenticity defines her approach, honed through masterclasses with elite ensembles.

Her competition accolades demonstrate exceptional artistry:

• 1st Prize and three special prizes at the International Karol Szymanowski String Quartet Competition in Katowice (2017)
• Förderpreis and Bärenreiter Urtext Preis at the Internationaler Wettbewerb "Franz Schubert und die Musik der Moderne" in Graz (2018)
• 3rd Prize at the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition in Katowice (2018)
• 3rd prize at the Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award in Lugano (2019)
• Second prize in the Stanisław Moniuszko International Polish Music Competition in Rzeszów (2019)

As violist of the Atma Quartet since 2015, she contributes to a cohesive ensemble known for technical precision and expressive depth in both traditional and contemporary string quartet literature.
