Kara Vine-Perrow

Associate Professor Kara Vine-Perrow is a Principal Fellow in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Bioscience at the University of Wollongong. She established the Targeted Cancer Therapeutics Research Laboratory in 2014, focusing on mechanisms of chemotherapeutic drug resistance and developing nanomedicine platforms for site-specific drug delivery. Her research includes polymeric micelles for multidrug-resistant cancers, dual-drug implants for pancreatic cancer, and lipid nanoparticles for neurodegenerative diseases.

Her work integrates advanced characterization techniques for in vitro and in vivo evaluation. She leads multiple projects funded by NHMRC and Tour de Cure, including localized stromal depletion for pancreatic cancer and nanoparticle delivery for motor neuron disease.
