Dr. Kandalam Ramanujachary is a Full Professor of Chemistry at Rowan University's College of Science & Mathematics, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, an M.S. from Andhra University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Andhra University.
His research focuses on advanced materials and inorganic chemistry, particularly in nanomaterials synthesis, catalysis, and energy-related applications. Key areas include hydrogen production via electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and multiferroic materials for energy storage. He also explores bio-mass conversion, nano-pharmaceuticals, and the electronic properties of transition metal oxides/sulfides.
Dr. Ramanujachary has over 200 peer-reviewed publications and an h-index of 41. His work spans collaborations with institutions globally, addressing challenges in sustainable energy, catalytic systems, and material characterization. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and Materials Research Society of Singapore.
Recent research highlights include developing TbCrO₃-based humidity sensors, novel sulfide structures like Ba₄FeAgS₆, and multifunctional GdCrO₃ nanoassemblies for hydrogen production. His contributions bridge fundamental materials science with applied energy solutions.
