Kamilla Kraft is an Associate Professor at the Department of English, Germanic and Romance Languages (ENGEROM) within the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on multilingualism, language policy, and sociolinguistic dynamics in workplace and educational contexts. She contributes to HUM:Global initiatives, emphasizing global phenomena and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Her work examines Norms in language use, immigrant integration, and the impact of language policies on professional identity. She has explored multilingual practices in blue-collar industries, refugee classrooms, and transnational work environments. Her studies often highlight the interplay between language, power, and social structures.
Active in academic leadership, Kraft is part of the Professional Project Group (PPG) of HUM:Global, collaborating with faculty from across the humanities to design and execute global-focused programs. Her research spans sociolinguistics, education, and applied linguistics, with publications addressing workplace communication, language securitization, and migration-related language policies.
