Kamil Mustafa Dursun

Kamil Mustafa Dursun is a Professor at the Department of Engineering at the University College of Southeast Norway. He has served as the Dean of the Department of Engineering and Science from 2013 to 2017 and held the position of Associate Professor from 2010 to 2013. His academic interests include Power Engineering, Electrical Machines, Network Protection, and Energy, with a focus on renewable energy systems and smart grids.

Prior to his academic roles, he worked at ABB in various leadership positions, including Development Engineer, Head of the High Voltage Laboratory, and Vice President Technology. His career also includes international project management in cleaner production and energy efficiency. He currently teaches courses such as Electrical Systems and Machines and Power Electronics and Relay Protection.

His research focuses on transformer design, microgrid integration, energy efficiency, and sustainable power systems. Notable projects include studies on harmonic losses in transformers and the implementation of AC/DC microgrids using renewable energy sources.

Dr. Dursun has contributed to over 20 publications, including peer-reviewed articles and conference proceedings. His work emphasizes practical applications in power systems, energy conversion, and sustainable energy solutions.
