Kamal Rahmouni

Kamal Rahmouni, PhD, is a Professor of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Iowa. His research focuses on the neurobiology of metabolism, energy homeostasis, and cardiovascular function, particularly investigating dysregulation in diseases like obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. He utilizes multidisciplinary approaches including genetic models, Cre-LoxP technology, and physiological techniques to study molecular pathways in the central nervous system.
