Kamal Addagatla

Kamal Addagatla, MD, MS, DABS is an Assistant Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at Yale School of Medicine and practices at Smilow Cancer Hospital in Trumbull, Bridgeport, and New Haven, CT. He is a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in breast cancer reconstruction with expertise in microsurgery.

Dr. Addagatla's research interests focus on plastic and reconstructive surgery, particularly breast reconstruction techniques, microsurgical procedures, and surgical education. His clinical work emphasizes patient safety as the top priority, followed by aesthetic and reconstructive outcomes. He has particular expertise in autologous (free flap) breast reconstruction, which involves using a patient's own tissue for reconstruction.
