Jürgen Mackert is Professor of General Sociology at the Faculty of Human Sciences, University of Potsdam, where he holds a chaired professorship and leads the research and teaching profile in sociological theory and analysis. He is actively involved in supervision, research projects, and academic leadership.
Research Interests: His work spans classical and contemporary social theory, with a focus on social closure, violence, citizenship, authoritarianism, and the sociological critique of neoliberal capitalism.
