Jürgen Faßbender

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Faßbender is Director of the Institute of Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and a Full Professor for Applied Solid State Physics at TU Dresden. He specializes in ion beam physics, materials research, and accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS). His work bridges fundamental research with applications in energy technology, environmental science, and nuclear forensics.
