Jörg Weissmüller is a Professor and Head of the Institute of Materials Physics at Hamburg University of Technology. He also leads the Hybrid Materials Systems group at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht. His research focuses on nanomaterials, emphasizing thermodynamics, continuum mechanics, electrochemistry of interfaces, phase transformations, magnetism, magnetic neutron scattering, and plastic deformation mechanisms.
