Prof. Dr. Jörg Pfister is a faculty member at the Department of MND at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen). He serves as Vice Dean (MND), Chairman of the Railway Engineering Examination Board, and Mobility Officer of the THM. His work focuses on railway technology, simulation systems, and environmentally oriented traffic management.

In 2024, he became a founding member and board member of "Bahn Netz Zukunft eV", an association promoting rail transport research. In 2025, he co-established the "Tram Lab" with Prof. Dr. Martin Pächer, focusing on technical aspects of rail transport such as superstructure, power supply, and safety technology. He is also a founding member of the Mobilithek User Group and involved in the development of the Green City Plan for Giessen.
