József Bukor is an Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics within the Faculty of Economics and Informatics at J. Selye University since 2004. He holds a PhD in the theory of mathematics teaching and habilitated in Applied Mathematics at the University of Ostrava (2019).
- Education: Comenius University (1982–1987, Theoretical Cybernetics, Mathematical Informatics, System Theory), Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (1998–2001, PhD in Mathematics Teaching).
Research Interests focus on Number Theory, specifically densities and distribution of integer sequences, alongside applying cognitive technologies and mathematical software to enhance secondary and higher education in mathematics and informatics.
Grant Involvement includes leadership in VEGA and KEGA projects (2005–2023) addressing interactive learning materials, science education innovation, and convergence properties of number sequences. His publications span 15 peer-reviewed journal articles (Group B) and 20 book-related outputs (Group A2), with 125 citations in Web of Science/Scopus.
