معرفی
Jérôme Le Dreau is a Teacher-Researcher at the University of La Rochelle, France, affiliated with the E2-BVD research team. His work focuses on enabling buildings to interact flexibly with power grids through energy systems innovation, teaching courses in building thermal/energy systems, environmental impacts, and BIM.
His research spans:
- Energy flexibility in multi-building clusters
- Smart grid and building-network interactions
- Design of positive energy buildings (net ZEB)
- Adaptive facades and low-temperature HVAC systems
- Thermal comfort under dynamic conditions
- Passive technologies and natural ventilation
Analysis of his 58 publications reveals growing emphasis on data-driven energy flexibility metrics, decarbonization via hybrid heat pumps, and district-scale renewable integration. Recent work addresses barriers to operationalizing building-grid interactions while advancing thermal comfort modeling through experimental studies of cyclical temperature responses.
As part of E2-BVD, Le Dreau contributes to building energy modeling, thermal property identification methods, and metrology research, with publications appearing in Energy and Buildings, Applied Energy, and Building and Environment.
